Logistics UK’s flagship Transport Manager conference series is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025, marking a quarter of a century of delivering vital compliance advice and industry insight to fleet professionals across the country.

Returning this year with a refreshed programme, in-person appearances from Traffic Commissioners, and expert-led sessions, the conference remains a must-attend event for anyone responsible for managing road transport operations.

Running from September through December, Transport Manager 2025 will visit 10 venues across the UK, with an additional virtual session available for online attendees.

The series continues to offer up-to-date guidance on legislation and best practice, designed to help operators ensure safety, compliance and efficiency.

Looking back to its first event held in October 2001 at Gatwick, the landscape of logistics has changed dramatically. The sector was just beginning to adapt to the e-commerce boom, and GPS technology was becoming commonplace in fleet management.

Fast forward to 2025, and the industry is focused on decarbonisation—with 2050 the legal deadline for net zero and all new HGVs expected to be zero-emission at the tailpipe by 2040.

Kevin Green, Acting Chief Executive at Logistics UK, said: “The next 25 years are clearly going to be as exciting and challenging as the previous 25, and we’re delighted that our Transport Manager conference series has been helping vehicle fleets stay safe and compliant for a quarter of a century.”

The 2025 programme features a strong compliance focus and includes:

• A view from the Traffic Commissioner on upcoming priorities

• Legal and regulatory updates

• A mock Health & Safety Executive (HSE) investigation

• DVSA guidance on preventative maintenance

• Developments in operator licensing

• Updates from the DVLA

• Driver management essentials

• Tackling crime and theft in commercial transport

Attendees will also benefit from insights provided by Logistics UK’s Member Advice Centre, whose advisors will be available throughout the day to discuss legislation and compliance queries.

The event is accredited for continuous professional development (CPD), reinforcing its value for transport professionals. Last year saw a record turnout of nearly 2,000 delegates.

Mr Green added: “Keeping up to date on compliance changes and staying informed on developments in the industry are vital for transport managers so they can excel in their role.

"With a packed schedule of top-quality speakers, we’re looking forward to another highly successful Transport Manager series this year—and for the next twenty-five years.”
