Reflective films company Reflexite begin company relaunch for energy efficiency products

Specialist in retro-reflective films for safety-related applications begins company relaunch and captures market for energy efficiency products.

Reflexite has now held a patent for the innovative development of microprisms which deliver improved visibility as a result of their exceptionally high reflective performance for over 30 years. Throughout this period, the company has engaged in continuous research into the development of microprismatic films for safety-related applications - and brought a wealth of new ideas and concepts to the table. Once again, Reflexite is raising the bar by using a company relaunch to expand its portfolio to include energy efficiency products for the "green market".

The special microprismatic reflection technology developed and patented by Reflexite guarantees visibility - even in wet conditions. This is particularly important in the field of high visibility apparel which also performs a warning or protective function, for example the clothing worn by firefighters. The excellent performance of Reflexite products also makes them a popular choice in the outdoor sports sector.

Under a new logo which reflects the recent division of its organizational structure, the US-based company has added energy efficiency products to its existing portfolio.

Whereas the Reflective Solutions Division - the light- and dark-blue prisms in the logo - will continue to focus on established, top-quality products which use high visibility to ensure improved safety, the emphasis of the new Energy Solutions Division is clear from its colour in the logo: green.

This shift towards a green philosophy comes in response to increasing worldwide demand for production solutions which are more environmentally friendly and climate aware.

Throughout its history, Reflexite has been a pioneer in the development of products which deliver the highest possible visibility in situations where they can save lives - whether in traffic applications or on protective clothing, safety jackets or outdoor sports apparel.

The establishment of the Energy Solutions Division sees Reflexite expand its portfolio to include energy-saving components such as rear intensifying films (e.g. for mobile phones and laptop screens) and solar energy panels. All products are based on the same technology: microprismatic reflection.

The above-mentioned changes in organizational structure made it a logical decision to go a step further in the development of the Reflexite corporate design. The company's new corporate image is therefore accompanied by a completely redesigned website, which will be online from the 1st of June.

The restructuring programme has also brought greater uniformity to the Reflexite group's global network of branches. As Gary Hartfield, President of the EMEA region at Reflexite, explains: "In the globalized world of today, it is vital that organizations which operate on a worldwide scale are both consistent and global in terms of their message and identity".
