Bayer Healthcare Chile has chosen Kuehne + Nagel to manage its national distribution centre, including warehousing, laboratory testing, quality control and distribution.
Kuehne + Nagel has been awarded an exclusive contract to manage the
logistics activities for Bayer HealthCare Chile. According to the
agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will provide services to handle all of Bayer´s
products in the country and also products of other pharmaceutical
companies on behalf of Bayer. Furthermore, the scope of responsibilities
covers value added services such as repackaging and labeling as well as
special promotions preparation. Another task Kuehne + Nagel will be
responsible for is to perform laboratory tests of the products. Those tests
are requested by the Chilean import law.
With a team of 50 dedicated staff, Kuehne + Nagel will operate within
Bayer's prime facility in San Joaquin, Santiago, in a 4.000 sqm area. This
logistics site encompasses five CoolZones for temperature-controlled cargo.
