Waste management company HIPPOWASTE appoint two recruits to its sales team

National waste management company, HIPPOWASTE, has appointed two new recruits to its sales team; Rachel Bicker and Amanda King.

Amanda has moved across from HIPPOWASTE's marketing department to join the sales team as a senior account manager. Amanda, who has been with the company since 2006, has been chosen to take the lead on a number of key accounts as the business continues to grow.

Amanda said: "Not only does my new role at HIPPOWASTE offer me a chance to bring my experience to the table, but I believe it will also enable me to stretch my skills. HIPPOWASTE is a hugely ambitious and forward thinking firm and I am very much looking forward to maintaining and accelerating its industry-leading performance."

Rachel joins the company at an exciting time in its seven year history, with HIPPOWASTE recently relocating to bigger premises at 1000 Lakeside.

Rachel's background includes roles within the b2b publishing and consultancy sectors, working as editor, senior-client relationship manager, and then company director across a 15 year career. Rachel comes to HIPPOWASTE from a Kent-based management consultancy firm specialising in coaching, leadership and performance improvement. Her previous clients include Microsoft UK, HM Revenue & Customs, the Department for Transport and the Fire & Rescue Service.

Rachel said: "It's such an exciting time to be joining this sector, and I'm delighted to be part of such a professional and forward-thinking business; HIPPOWASTE has ambitious plans, a really strong proposition and huge potential be the industry leader - as well as being a household name. I relish the opportunities and challenges ahead."

Stephen Noar, executive chairman of HIPPOWASTE, said: "The appointments of Rachel and Amanda to the sales team underlines our commitment to grow. Both have an impressive track record in business development and their expertise and skills are already an asset to the company."

An exceptionally strong polypropylene bag, the HIPPOBAG can hold large amounts of waste. The varying sizes are ideal for projects where space is restricted or where waste needs to be removed quickly and easily. Once full, the bag and its contents are collected, taken away and disposed of in a responsible way via the HIPPOWASTE collection service with an average of over 80 percent of materials recycled.
