Volunteers required for International development charity Transaid charity quiz

Do you fancy yourself as the next Chris Tarrant or Dara Ó Briain? International development charity Transaid is looking for volunteer quiz masters for the ultimate workplace quiz as part of its upcoming annual Transaid Week.

Taking place between 5-9 July across the UK, Transaid Week aims to raise at least £10,000 towards Transaid's life-saving work in Africa and the developing world.

This year, companies can help make a difference by getting involved in Transaid's five-round quiz, which contains a section on transport - and has a bonus World Cup round.

One firm taking part is Bandvulc Tyre plc.

"Transaid Week is a great way of getting staff involved," says director Richard O'Connell. "Not only does it raise funds for Transaid, but it raises workplace morale and motivation too."

Funds raised from Transaid Week will contribute towards projects such as an Emergency Transport Scheme for women and young children in Northern Nigeria. One in seven women in Nigeria die during childbirth and pregnancy. Transaid aims to reduce this figure by implementing emergency transport for pregnant women, making healthcare more accessible.

"We're pleased to support a charity through whose eyes transport is seen as the answer in improving people's lives, and not the problem," adds O'Connell.

Transaid Week quiz participants will receive a complete quiz master's pack, as well as a Transaid Week Action Pack with answer-sheets, quiz organization tips and various other fundraising ideas which will help boost the amount raised.

To receive a free copy of the quiz AND action pack, simply contact the Transaid marketing team at marketing@transaid.org or telephone 020 7387 8136. Packs can also be downloaded by visiting www.transaid.org.
