Two Men And A Truck has been put on the market

The UK and Ireland master franchise for home and office

removals business Two Men And A Truck has been put on

the market by its Irish owners, after they decided to concentrate

on their core businesses of storage and document

handling.

Once sold, the move could lead to hundreds of U.S.-style

removal businesses opening In the two countries as the

housing market moves forward and the economy regains

its momentum.

Two Men And A Truck already operates across America and

Canada to a tried and tested formula - putting customer

satisfaction at the top of its list and working under a hugely

recognisable brand, while getting involved in the communities

it serves.

The 18-year-old franchise has been operating in Dublin for

around five years, but owners NDMG Holdings Ltd have now

decided it is not a core business and have put the operation

on the market for £550,000, to include the master franchise

fee and assets.

A spokesman for the company said: "The buyer will get a

business which already has a proven working model for the

UK, along with the results of extensive research. The growing

population of the UK and a huge rise in the rental market means

increased moving business opportunities for a distinctive brand

associated with a caring attitude towards customers and the

community.

"We have a bank of around 800 hundred people who have

enquired about buying Two Men And A Truck franchises in the

UK and we fully expect the master franchisee to be able to

open a large number of depots over the next few years.

"This is not a core business for us, but it is a golden opportunity

for an organisation that has the entrepreneurial spirit to run a

successful brand that will quickly be recognised across the

country as offering value for money and a high level of service."

Almost 2.5 million people move house or office in the UK every

year, a Royal Mail survey has shown, and this figure is steadily

rising as one-person households rise to 32 per cent of the total

market, increasing the demand for housing.

The master franchise comes with a successful website,

www.twomenandatruck.co.uk and NDMG say they originally

bought the operation as a long-term strategic investment,

but now need to concentrate on their core businesses,

ranging from self-storage to document shredding.
