Toyota Material Handling will be supporting the UK manufacturing industry as headline sponsor for the 4th year for the Best Factory Awards (BFA) Conference in 19th and 20th March 2014 in Derby.
The Best Factory Awards conference gives manufacturers the opportunity to learn from their peers how to become Best Factory, by sharing knowledge, skills and expertise. The conference features a number of key speakers plus winners of the Best Factory Awards share their journey to excellence.
Toyota have been long supporters of the Best Factory Awards programme, not only as headline sponsor, but also by sharing of knowledge about the Toyota Production System (TPS) through workshops and free resources. In the last 4 years the conference and awards has grown significantly into one of the most prestigious awards in UK manufacturing.
Tony Wallis, Sales and Marketing Director from Toyota Material Handling UK explain "Toyota is an organisation that promotes excellence in manufacturing. For us there is no better way to do this than to be associated with an awards and conference programme reflecting those standards".
This year the conference will include an introduction to the TPS framework by Tony Wallis plus the attendees will get an opportunity to see TPS in practice at the Toyota car factory at Burnaston, Derby.
Wallis adds "We see this conference as a great opportunity for us to talk to manufacturers, understand the challenges they experience and share our knowledge about continuous improvement. This year we will be sharing our latest TPS whitepaper that explains how to apply some of the concepts of TPS to any business operation".
