Bohle has expanded its range of high performance convex safety mirrors, improving visibility and helping to avoid injury in a wide variety of applications.
The latest figures from the Health and Safety Executive reveal that between 2009 and 2014, there were more than 64,000 accidents - including 46 fatal incidents – in the UK warehousing and logistics sector.
Suitable for use in warehouses, hospitals, factories and ‘blind corners’ in car parks and other areas where there is a risk of a collision, Bohle’s DuraVision range is designed to support businesses in reducing the risk of injury by improving visibility in high risk areas.
Manufactured from high performance acrylic vacuum metalized aluminium composite, DuraVision mirrors deliver a crystal clear image. Selected items also come with a five-year warranty and durable PVC edging, a telescopic pin or bracket.
Alic McCabe, Business Development Manager, Bohle said: “Fork lift truck or lorry movements in warehouses or blind corners in car parks or yards, cause thousands of accidents each year - even minor collisions between people, can lead to falls and significant injury.
“Risk reduction is critical and safety mirrors can play an important part in achieving it. DuraVision mirrors are manufactured from 99 per cent pure aluminium, which means that they deliver an incredibly crisp and clear image. This eliminates distortion which is often associated with lower quality products.”
Bohle’s mirror range features multiple options. A wide-angle range includes a full and half ceiling dome delivering 360° and 180° viewing areas, each ideal for collision avoidance.
Standard convex and economy mirrors are also available in multiple sizes providing effective reflections of up to 18m away.
Bohle also offers a dedicated range of forklift truck mirrors including a Rear Vision Half Dome Mirror with a wide 180° viewing area and high impact standard mirror, which again delivers a distortion-free reflection and a choice of car park and yard mirrors including the Pro Series Traffic Mirror.
“Safety mirrors are very variable in the quality and therefore the accuracy of the reflection that they deliver. Distortion can be a very real problem and therefore a risk. Bohle safety mirrors are manufactured to an exacting quality which means that they deliver an undistorted reflection – something that’s critical to safety”, concluded Alic.
