Specialist delivery firm Panther Warehousing unveiled three new services at this week’s Metapack Delivery Conference to further reinforce its market leading position as a niche supplier in the two-man market.
The conference, which attracts many of the world’s largest retail brands, presents the first opportunity post peak for the industry to come together and digest Christmas trends and trading – hearing from the most influential movers and shakers on delivery, customer experience, cross border trade and the future of delivery.
The three new services will allow Panther, in addition to its existing two-man service, to provide a complete end to end solution to meet the needs of the delivery marketplace.
The first of the three new services is ‘Solo’ a one-man delivery offering unmatched in the market. As in the case of two-man, it is once again a niche market, which is currently underserved due to lack of carrier choice against a backdrop of ever-increased customer demand.
Aimed at deliveries of items which are too large to be handled by a mechanical sortation system, it is a service which is set to grow exponentially.
The second is Panther’s new Deliver and Build service provides the end customer with an option to have their home delivery order assembled – putting an end to the stress that many associate with self-assembly goods.
Panther believes this service is an industry first – once again giving the business the competitive edge and further cementing its position as a market leader.
Finally Panther’s new Installation service will provide customers with the option of installing gas, electric and dual fuel as part of their delivery. It will be carried out in partnership with leading installation specialists National Appliance Care – who will provide a fleet of fully trained fitters.
Panther also intends to launch a Sunday delivery facility which will be launched across its range of services this year.
Colin McCarthy, Managing Director of Panther, said: “Metapack provided the perfect opportunity for us to launch our three new services, which we believe will not only revolutionise the industry by filling an ever widening void in the sector, but will also help our customers to compete in a very challenging sector.”
