Palletforce member Wings Transport has expanded after investing in additional warehousing space at its South London depot.
The family-run firm has opened a new 6,000 sq ft racked warehouse at its site on the Silverwing Industrial Estate, Croydon.
This is in addition to a 7,000 sq ft warehouse that Wings Transport, which is a member of Palletforce, the UK and Europe's leading palletised distribution network, already operates at the depot.
"Primarily this new warehouse will be used for our pick and pack and storage services, which there is an enormous need for in this area," said John Bayliss, Managing Director of Wings Transport.
"We have had a remarkable response so far from existing clients taking advantage of this new service we are able to offer."
The warehouse is fully alarmed and controlled by CCTV and has been purpose-built for distribution.
This expansion comes just months after Wings Transport was shortlisted for Best Medium Sized Business in the Croydon Business Awards earlier this year.
"It is fantastic to see Wings Transport investing in their facilities and enhancing the quality services they can offer to existing and new customers," said Dave Holland, Sales and Marketing Director at Palletforce.
