OSHA-Based or IBC Stairs: Clearing up a warehouse controversy

< The overall footprint for these stairs is roughly 1.016m-wide x 5.588m-long, an added length of 1.4732m. Furthermore, an independent handrail is mounted to the inside of the guarding reducing the clear width on the stairs by a nominal 101.6mm if the handrail is mounted on only one side; by a nominal 203.2mm if handrails are mounted on both sides.

The bottom line is that RMI-compliant, OSHA-based stairs are IBC compliant, as well as safe, cost effective, and space efficient in an industrial warehouse setting provided their use is restricted to trained, physically capable, properly dressed employees.
