New Head of Finance Andy Butler for SWR waste management

Waste management company, SWR, has capped off an impressive year with the appointment of new Head of Finance.

The news comes on the back of significant growth during 2010, during which time the company doubled its turnover and recruited a further 39 staff to deal with the increase in business.

As part of this recruitment drive, SWR welcomes Andy Butler as Head of Finance. Andy brings a wealth of experience in working with companies to achieve their growth strategies through both organic growth and acquisition and his appointment is another step in putting SWR at the forefront of the waste management industry.

SWR CEO, Giles Whiteley, said: "Even as a relatively new company, we are already building a formidable reputation in the sector and attracting some of the most talented individuals in the profession. Andy is an industry heavyweight with a fantastic track record and his experience and financial acumen will be a huge asset to the organisation."

In his role with SWR, Andy is responsible for Finance, IT & HR. His 15 years as a Corporate Finance advisor with both Ernst & Young and BDO will stand him in good stead for supporting the business as it continues to grow at pace.

Andy said: "These are very exciting times in the waste sector, with many challenges and opportunities ahead. SWR has impressed me as an organisation, having doubled in size year on year since it began in 2007. It has an excellent service offering with sound business ethics and I very much look forward to working at SWR in such a pivotal role and helping to achieve the company's ambition of becoming a market leader."
