Navman Wireless, the UK's largest provider of vehicle tracking, has named John Merrill Dealer Manager UK, signalling the company's commitment to its channel partners.
John has helped promote Navman Wireless's dealer network since joining the company in March 2007. He will now be responsible for supporting and developing this network on a national level.
"Vehicle tracking dealers have been at the fore of the technology's proliferation across the UK over the course of the last decade; their role will remain key to its adoption for years to come," said Navman Wireless UK Managing Director Tony Neill.
"John's appointment reflects this, along with our need to plan and maximise opportunities as the industry's landscape evolves."
John, who boasts more than 15 years of channel management experience, added: "Demand for vehicle tracking systems is on the rise, in keeping with the higher than expected UK economic growth forecasts.
"Our dealers are integral to promoting the cost saving benefits of the technology and I'm looking forward to supporting their efforts, developing Navman Wireless's sales strategies and exploring new opportunities within the fleet transport and mobile communications channels."
Before joining Navman Wireless, John worked for Motorola, GPC Computer Software, NewTech Tube Co and Kwik Kopy.
