MITIE Group given preferred bidder status by Rolls Royce for facilities and energy management

MITIE Group PLC ('MITIE') is pleased to announce that it has been given preferred bidder status by Rolls-Royce for the facilities and energy management of its European properties.

Subject to contract, this will be MITIE's largest pan-European agreement and demonstrates MITIE's capability to meet the needs of Rolls-Royce across its European property portfolio. It will include facilities management, energy management and the delivery of services including engineering and fabric maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, waste management, document management, reception, pest control and emergency services. MITIE will work closely with Rolls-Royce in support of its global property strategy, and will provide its property management team with asset and estate performance data from MITIE's integrated management information and data management platform (MiWorld).

MITIE's relationship with Rolls-Royce commenced in 1992 with the provision of a single service and extended into UK wide facilities management in 2003. The new pan-European agreement represents a significant increase in the scope of MITIE's existing UK facilities management contract.

Ruby McGregor-Smith, Chief Executive, MITIE Group PLC, commenting on the announcement: "We are absolutely delighted to have been appointed preferred bidder. We really value our 18-year relationship with Rolls-Royce and we are looking forward to supporting its property and energy management strategy over the coming years.

When executed, this will be our largest pan-European contract and it is strategically important to MITIE as we expand the support we provide to our clients in the UK and across Europe."
