Following the acquisition of Sandt-Logistik GmbH by Gebhardt Fördertechnik, European Conveyor Systems is now able to offer a wide range of automated cranes, load-handling devices, materials handling interfaces and warehouse management systems to complement its conveyor installations.
Sandt-Logistik equipment and systems were widely used on the Continent and respected for their innovative design and high-quality construction. They are now being manufactured by Gebhardt and available in the UK from ECS.
Automated storage-and-retrieval cranes are available in a wide range of specifications for handling trays, totes, cartons and pallets at heights up to 22 metres. Features include rigid single-masts with high load capacities, two-wheel drive for fast acceleration, low-friction bearings that minimise noise, and high-performance braided steel hoist cables.
A number of different handling devices are offered to match the lifts with the size and weight of loads as well as other factors such as shelf depths, storage densities and handling rates. Modular materials handling interfaces such as transfer equipment, roller conveyors, chain conveyors and contour controls are also available for fitting at the in-put and out-put points of carton and pallet conveyor systems.
In addition to the new hardware, ECS can now also supply a range of Gebhardt computerised management systems, electronic controls and IT connection, including SAP integration capabilities.
