PC Howard, a logistics company with over 70 years' experience in road transport and freight distribution, and member of the Palletways network, has strengthened its business by opening a new depot in Royal Wootton Bassett.
The depot in Royal Wootton Bassett is the latest addition to PC Howard's existing facilities in Peterborough, Northampton and Corby. It marks a significant milestone in the company's future plans for growth.
Andrew Howard, Managing Director of PC Howard, said: "Our new depot is ideally placed to replicate the success we've had in other parts of the UK. Not only is it easily accessible to the road network, but it's also close to key businesses in the Wiltshire area that will benefit from our services."
The opening of the new depot will see PC Howard collect and deliver small consignments of palletised freight to and from customers across Wiltshire for onward delivery across the UK, Ireland, the Benelux countries, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Martyn Young, Managing Director of Palletways UK Member Network, said: "PC Howard was one of the original Palletways Members when we opened for business in 1994 and it has gone from strength to strength. This new depot will not only provide a fast and efficient service for businesses in Wiltshire, it will also help the local economy."
Palletways, which was set up in 1994, has 306 depots across the Group, delivering 3.5 million pallets per year throughout the UK and nearly two million pallets a year in mainland Europe.
The Group's distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe are supported by an unrivalled and fully integrated IT infrastructure, which allows customers to track and trace consignments using the internet.
