Jungheinrich UK appoints new Managing Director

Jungheinrich AG Hamburg has announced the appointment of Hans-Herbert Schultz as Managing Director of Jungheinrich UK Ltd., based in Milton Keynes.

Mr Schultz has worked for the Jungheinrich Group for seven years, most recently as Finance and Aftersales Director in Germany. With a background in finance and controlling, Mr Schultz was previously Head of Controlling, Sales for the Jungheinrich Group, and has extensive experience within the German logistics industry.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Schultz said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to manage Jungheinrich UK, one of our largest and most important subsidiaries, at this most exciting time in the company's development".

The Jungheinrich Group is enjoying record sales growth and has reported improving net sales in the first quarter of 2006, increasing by more than 5 per cent year on year to €379 million (£258m). This follows the strong growth seen in 2005, which resulted in the best fiscal year ever for the company, which also reported good sales growth in the UK.

Mr Schultz concludes: "Jungheinrich is one of the few lift truck manufacturers able to demonstrate profitable growth and continuous investment in new products and new customer facilities. I look forward to continuing the work started by my predecessor Mark Williamson and to further strengthen the strong market position of Jungheinrich in the UK."
