InPost has topped CILT (UK)’s annual ranking of Britain’s leading logistics service providers for the first time following a period of rapid growth.
The parcel locker and delivery company placed ahead of Unipart Logistics in second and GXO Logistics UK in third in the 2026 Top 30.
CEVA Logistics and XPO Transport Solutions UK completed the top five, while DHL Supply Chain, Davies Turner & Co, FedEx Express UK Transportation, DSV Road and Culina Logistics filled the remaining top-10 places.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s ranking, now in its ninth year, recognises businesses for their financial performance, leadership, professional standards and environmental and social practices.
It includes global logistics groups, national operators and family-owned companies, reflecting the range of businesses working across the UK supply chain.
CILT (UK) also published its separate Top 10 SME Logistics Service Providers list for the third year.
Quality Freight Services secured first place in the SME ranking, followed by Supreme Freight Services and Cargo Overseas.
Helen Hardy, chief executive of CILT (UK), said the businesses had continued to invest despite difficult trading conditions.
“The 2026 Top 30 and Top 10 SME Logistics Service Providers lists highlight the tenacity and agility of businesses navigating a genuinely tough trading environment,” she said.
“Against a backdrop of tightening margins and economic headwinds, these companies have continued to invest in their people, their operations, and their long-term growth.”
She added that their performance reflected strong leadership and the logistics sector’s importance in keeping UK supply chains moving.
Michael Rouse, chief executive international at InPost, described the result as a proud moment for the company.

“That's the real story behind this recognition – sustained, compounding growth in scale and reach across every part of the business, not just one good year.”
The ranking was compiled using publicly available information, primarily company submissions to Companies House accessed through the Fame business database.
Data was gathered around the start of the new tax year to provide the latest available company information.
Businesses were assessed across 12 internal criteria, including financial performance, professional accreditation, gender pay gap reporting, modern slavery statements and environmental, social and governance practices.
The ranking focuses on companies involved in road freight, warehousing, postal and courier services, and transport support activities.
