The wide array of new Combilift products on display at this year's CeMAT underlines the company's position as the leading global manufacturer in the long load handling sector.
On its largest ever CeMAT stand, Combilift is exhibiting 16 models, including the new straddle carrier, a Combi-CB with increased load capacity of 4t, a redesign of the "core" C4000 truck and new Aisle-Master articulated models. Entertainment will be provided by members of the Combi-CB display team, at CeMAT for the first time, who will be performing the "CB dance" routine at regular intervals to demonstrate the extraordinary manoeuvrability of this compact counterbalance truck as well as their own considerable driving skills. The draft Guinness bar will also no doubt be a welcome port of call for weary and thirsty visitors.
The straddle carrier was developed as a cost effective solution for the handling of containers and similarly oversized loads and is a much more flexible and economical alternative to container handling forklifts, reach stackers or mobile cranes. The three wheel patented design features 2-wheel hydrostatic drive, has a capacity of 35t and is available with diesel or LPG power options.
The new generation of the Combilift 'core' C series now comes with a roomier cab with a redesigned dash panel for improved ergonomics. The curved windscreen and addition of more glass to the cab also provides even better visibility for the driver.
A new 4t capacity version of the award winning counterbalance design Combi-CB will also be on show. The CB was originally designed as a 2.5t model for customers handling a mix of long and palletised loads, and the larger capacity 3 and 4t versions developed in the last year now offer a wider range of applications.
Aisle-Master exhibits include the new narrow chassis 15E model. This 1.5t capacity truck has a chassis width of just 1000mm compared to 1220mm of the standard version and 1400mm of the wider model and is ideal for operation with lighter loads in very narrow confines. Aisle-Masters are now engineered with "over articulation" which offers a better degree of accuracy while operating in narrow aisles. An Aisle-Master parts warranty of 5 years or 5,000 hours now offers even more peace of mind for users and underlines the extreme reliability of the range.
