Logistics and warehouse management software developer, Indigo Software, is set to launch its latest product innovation in warehouse and logistics solutions - 'Indigo WMS for IBM i'.
Managing the movement of goods in and out of a warehouse, Indigo WMS for IBM i is an automated warehouse management system offering real time solutions enhanced for other users of IBM i ERP software such as BPICS, Maapics, Movex/M3 and SAP, as well as in house developed systems.
Operated using hand-held radio frequency terminals and allowing automated data capture to ensure information is guaranteed to be accurate and true, Indigo WMS for IBM i is highly developed in picking strategies, embedded voice technologies, multi-phase instructions, inbound planning, SSCC capability and business intelligence.
Indigo began developing its WMS portfolio of applications 20 years ago, with its signature product 'RealTime for System21'. This enabled IBM i (aka iSeries and AS/400) based System 21 ERP software users to utilise the latest barcode and wireless technologies, removing the manual processes associated with inventory and warehousing operations.
Commenting on the launch, Peter McLane, Managing Director said: "We're thrilled to be able to open up our RealTime software to other users of ERP with Indigo WMS for IBM i. Our current customers such as Regatta, Dairy Crest, Puma and Glen Dimplex will tell you what a marked difference RealTime has made to their business productivity and efficiency. This customer feedback was instrumental to our strategy of enhancing our WMS technologies to make it available to all businesses running their applications on IBM i."
