Norbert Dentressangle has appointed two new Managing Directors to head up its Transport and Distribution and Logistics divisions in the UK.
Dan Myers takes the reins as Managing Director of Norbert Dentressangle Transport and Distribution UK, while Richard Cawston steps up as Managing Director of Norbert Dentressangle’s UK Logistics division.
With a combined 27 years of service with Norbert Dentressangle, both individuals have progressed through the ranks and have benefited from Norbert Dentressangle’s commitment to the training and development of its people in order to achieve its target of filling 60% of vacancies through internal promotion.
An alumnus of Norbert Dentressangle’s highly successful graduate programme, Dan was previously a business unit director in the company’s Logistics division.
Richard joined Norbert Dentressangle in 2003 and has held a variety of roles within the Logistics division, most recently heading up the company’s Consumer business unit.
Jointly, Dan and Richard take responsibility for Norbert Dentressangle’s second largest market outside France and one of the UK’s largest transport and logistics companies.
Richard’s predecessor, Phil Shaw, has also been promoted to the role of Operations and Efficiency Director within Norbert Dentressangle’s Group Logistics division, reporting to divisional Managing Director, Malcolm Wilson. Phil will focus on the introduction of best practices, efficiency and innovation across all of Norbert Dentressangle’s logistics businesses and, in the short term, will assist in the integration of Jacobson Companies in the United States, following its recent acquisition by Norbert Dentressangle.
