Rugby-based Fortec Pallet Distribution Network has announced another new addition to its growing network of licensees.
Marcus (Bradford) Ltd joined Fortec in September covering the LS (Leeds) and HG (Harrogate) postcodes. The company has over 30 vehicles and about 40 employees.
A well-established business with a strong reputation for quality, the organisation has already benefited from the partnership with Fortec, both in terms of service and process improvement.
Ross Terry, Operations Director, Marcus (Bradford) Ltd, commented: "Fortec has already driven a number of positive changes in our organisation. The new software system has made our drivers' lives a lot easier and we are confident that with our newly installed systems, we can guarantee delivery for the next day, to any postcode in the UK.
"We originally approached Fortec about a year ago, as we were concerned that the Working Time Directive would have a negative impact on our business as it was very much seen as a threat at the time. This, fortunately, does not appear to have materialised. Our initial discussions with Fortec were very useful, and we could see from an early stage that we 'could do business together'.
"Fortec has been very supportive in the integration and streamlining of our processes and we look forward to a mutually beneficial, long term relationship."
Mick Dewhurst, Business Relationship Manager added: "We are delighted to welcome Marcus (Bradford) Ltd on board to our expanding network.
"The LS & HG postcodes are important to our coverage of the UK. The appointment of Marcus (Bradford) as a licensee adds a further dimension to our service to customers.
"The company has a formidable reputation for delivery and we look forward to our relationship developing in the future."
