Ford Retail parts implement Syncron Global Inventory Management solution to drive customer service

Ford Retail, Europe's largest Ford dealer group, will implement Syncron's Global Inventory Management solution to raise customer service and simultaneously reduce service parts inventory.

Syncron's Global Inventory Management solution will support Ford Retail's after sales operations throughout the UK. The business operates four distribution centers and 8 supporting parts hubs which serve both the Ford Retail dealer network and independent automotive dealers and workshops across the country through the company's first Parts Solutions brand.

"Our aim is to consistently deliver beyond our customer's expectations", explains Angus Brown, Managing Director first Parts Solutions. "Syncron's solution will enable us to optimize inventory in the supply chain to significantly raise the first-time availability of parts to achieve industry-leading service levels for our customers."

Syncron's knowledge and experience of the automotive service parts industry and leading position as the fasting growing supply chain solutions vendor in Europe were said to have been key factors in their decision to implement Syncron's Global Inventory Management solution. Some of the other automotive brands using Syncron's supply chain solutions include Mazda, Renault, Scania and VW.

"By placing the customer at the heart of their business and investing in their operations with Syncron's solution, first will surely achieve their industry-leading customer service position and achieve greater lifetime value from their customers" comments Anders Grudén, CEO Syncron International. "We are very pleased that Ford Retail and @first Parts Solutions selected to partner with Syncron."
