Express delivery Company City Link opens two new sites in Warrington and Peterborough

City Link, the UK's premium express delivery Company, has further extended its footprint within the UK market with the opening of two new Regional Hubs.

Strategically located, the two new sites comprise a 67,000 sq ft facility in Warrington and a new 50,000 sq ft site in Peterborough. The increased capacity will enable City Link to further enhance the level of service provided to both existing and new Customers within these regions.

Representing a total investment of in excess of £2 million, the two new Regional Hubs and Depots are one of six in City Link's new Regional Hub structure, with others being located at Heathrow, Bristol, Coventry and Glasgow with the objective of providing Customers with an optimum level of service.

The new facilities have between them created over 50 new jobs and have each been designed as traditional Hubs with side entrance doors to accommodate City Link's new curtainsider fleet offering increased efficiencies in operation.

Both the Hubs will be equipped with state-of-the-art IT facilities allowing Customers access to real time consignment tracking data.

Stuart Godman, Managing Director said: "The opening of these two Hubs marks the dawn of an exciting new era for City Link as it will allow us to not only improve our service to our Customers in both the Warrington and Peterborough areas, but to also exploit the untapped potential each region holds.

"We have a fantastic team, superb facilities coupled with our ability to deliver exceptional levels of service and are therefore ideally placed to further expand City Link's presence within both the Warrington and Peterborough regions."
