Arca BioLogistics, a specialist in Life Science logistics, has launched a significant new development of its innovative logistics management platform, Arca Live.
Designed specifically for the Life Science sector, Arca Live provides customers with full visibility and control of their shipments from collection to delivery.
The portal simplifies the entire logistics process, allowing users to create shipments, track progress in real time, monitor GPS and temperature data, access documentation, and manage compliance — all within one central, user-friendly platform.
Developed in partnership with Cen Global, a leading UK transport and logistics technology provider, the latest update makes international shipping as straightforward as domestic deliveries.
Cen Global, with offices in the UK, Dubai, and Manila, has helped shape Arca Live into a platform that lets users book shipments in minutes rather than days, streamlining a traditionally complex process.
Tom Webb, Director of Operations at Arca BioLogistics, said: “Many of our customers are research professionals or clinical scientists who simply don’t have a background in logistics.
"With the latest development of Arca Live, we set out to remove that barrier completely. Ultimately, this is about making sure our clients within the Life Science space are able to focus solely on the science behind what they do, not the shipping element, while we handle the complexity of the logistics process behind the scenes on their behalf.
“Cen Global played a significant role in bringing this concept to fruition by translating complex logistics processes into a platform that feels simple and user-friendly for our users.
"The key from our perspective is to stay ahead of the curve and cater to the existing demands of our customers, and they helped us to deliver a solution that will underpin how we serve our customers and grow as a business.”
This development milestone comes at a crucial time for Arca, which, despite being founded only in 2023, expects to treble its growth this year — an achievement largely attributed to the success of Arca Live.
Since its launch, Arca BioLogistics has worked with a UX specialist to ensure the platform is not only highly functional but also intuitive, eliminating the need for training.
This addresses a common complaint among customers that many logistics portals are overly complicated and designed primarily for logistics professionals rather than end users.
The latest update includes features such as Google Address Validation, product catalogue integration, a guided step-by-step process for generating accurate customs invoices, and a quicker quotation and booking system.
Behind the scenes, powerful automation has been integrated to reduce manual effort by Arca’s logistics team when processing shipments.
Tom Webb added: “The system has essentially been designed with simplicity and accessibility at its very heart, guiding users step by step through the process without requiring any prior shipping knowledge or training.
"Essentially, in the same way users can sign up to a banking app without any prior knowledge, we wanted to remove friction and make booking feel intuitive even for those unfamiliar with shipping details.
“This has been done in direct response to our own marketplace experiences and client feedback about traditional logistics portals, which are often outdated and built for logistics teams rather than end users.
Booking shipments traditionally involves frustrating back-and-forth emails lasting up to 72 hours. Ironically, many existing portals designed to streamline this process are so complex that clients abandon them and revert to email, which defeats the purpose.
“With Arca Live, shipments can be booked in a fraction of that time. Speed and clarity are critical in the life sciences sector, and our latest features further support that urgency.
"By significantly reducing administrative tasks, we’re freeing up scientists and researchers to focus on their work rather than getting bogged down in logistics.”
