LPR UK has secured a contract with Northern Ireland’s leading dairy supplier, Dale Farm. The business, which supplies to the retail, foodservice and ingredients market in more than 45 countries worldwide, has appointed LPR UK to manage its pallet pooling operations with the UK’s leading discount retailers.
Dale Farm, which employs more than 1,200 people across Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales, supplies a range of award-winning branded and private label milk, cheese, yoghurt, spreads and desserts to the UK’s major retail businesses.
The UK and Irish division of European pallet-pooling specialist LPR is working with Dale Farm for the first time, and will draw on its extensive experience with a variety of FMCG brands, including Nestlé, Weetabix and Sunrise Eggs.
Speaking of the partnership, Ernest Boyd, group customer services and logistics manager at Dale Farm, said: “When looking for a new pallet pooling partner, we wanted a company that was responsive, reliable and experienced in the dairy industry. LPR UK meets all of those criteria. We were impressed by the quality of LPR’s pallets, not to mention their knowledge of the sector, and look forward to building on our relationship.”
Joe Hebblewhite, commercial manager of LPR UK and Ireland, added: “Dale Farm is a fantastic addition to our diverse, growing client list. Thanks to our nationwide network, we’re able to help support Dale Farm’s growth as a trusted supply chain partner and bolster its relationship with the UK’s largest discount retailers.”
Alongside the new contract with Dale Farm, LPR has also secured new business wins with brands including Kanes Foods, Shepley Springs and EuroVast. Earlier this year, LPR achieved ‘AdvancedGold’ status from leading corporate social responsibility aggregator EcoVadis, in recognition of its commitment to sustainability and staff well-being.
