Dorothea Carvalho, CILT(UK)'s Director of Professional Development said:
" There is a recognition in the UK that our potential leaders of the future currently lack the leadership skills needed to take forward dynamic organisations competing both in the UK and increasingly in a global market. The new Advanced Diploma was developed based on feedback from employers and our members and includes key areas of business like leadership, innovation and change, planning at a strategic level, and delivering on customer service and on performance. Additionally as a professional qualification there is also an emphasis on areas such as ethical management and sustainability. Both the candidate's study materials and work for the qualification is based in the context of organisation for which the candidate is working and as such the qualification will be relevant those working in all logistics and transport organisation from third party logistics, transport planners through to those working in passenger transport organisations."
