Hundreds of drivers will have the opportunity to test WheelRight’s revolutionary tyre pressure system for free at this year’s CV Show (14-16 April, NEC Birmingham).
Drivers entering the East car park can drive over WheelRight’s innovative instrument, which automatically records their tyre pressures and vehicle registration number.
To collect an accurate reading of their tyre pressures, drivers should then go to the WheelRight stand (F71) in Hall 4. After confirming their registration number on a touch screen, drivers will be able to see printable pressure readings for each of their tyres.
WheelRight’s innovative drive-over tyre pressure monitoring system is also installed at Keele Services on the southbound M6, where both HGV and car lanes are currently in operation. The installation, which gives users the opportunities to collect a free printout, is being run in conjunction with Highways England and site operator Welcome Break.
This follows a successful demonstration at last year’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ (SiB) show at Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire, when data collected by the system found a startling one in eight users had under-inflated tyres.
The system, which is suitable for any HGV vehicle, bus, van or car, measures tyre pressure, vehicle weight and load distribution simultaneously, and is accredited to the globally recognised Weigh-in Motion (WIM) standard OIML R134.
