Navman Wireless has teamed up with specialist insurance broker One Business Insurance Solutions to increase business awareness of vehicle tracking as a possible route to cheaper premiums.
The UK's largest provider of vehicle tracking* believes the partnership reflects an increasing trend for insurers to take the technology into account when assessing risk.
"Vehicle tracking gives companies total visibility of their entire fleet," said Tony Neill, Executive Vice President of Navman Wireless.
"Being able to monitor driver behaviour at the touch of a button gives users an unrivalled level of control of their mobile workforce and more insurers are starting to recognise this."
The new partnership will see One Business, a Brightside Group company, encourage its customers to consider Navman Wireless technology - promising to look favourably on those who install its vehicle tracking system in their fleet vehicles.
The tracking provider will in turn offer One Business's customers a significant reduction on its tracking package. Navman Wireless will also recommend One Business to its own client base as a broker prepared to factor the technology into quotes.
"Vehicle tracking technology - particularly that from Navman Wireless - has established a reputation as an effective risk management tool," said Doug Kelley, Head of Affinity Partnerships at Brightside Group.
"As a consequence, we're delighted to have joined forces with the company and we'll be granting Navman Wireless users special consideration when quoting on their fleet insurance."
The agreement is the latest to emerge from Navman Wireless's affinity scheme providing customers with preferential treatment from other business suppliers.
The recently announced partnership with The Fuel Card Company succeeded in providing companies with a better deal on both fuel costs and vehicle tracking.
"Our 'beyond expectations' partnering programme is something we're extremely committed too," added Neill.
"Working with organisations that offer products directly relevant to our customers means we're able to add real value to the service we provide."
The new deal has now been officially launched to both Navman Wireless and One Business customers.
