Industrial safety specialist Troax UK Limited has simplified machine safety with the introduction of an exceptionally easy-to-fit machine guarding package. Based on its Rapid Fix machine fencing and an innovative new fixing system, the machine guarding package offers unrivalled versatility and speed of installation, providing a simple and cost-effective way to ensure personnel safety in warehouses, manufacturing facilities and other industrial sites where automated machinery is in operation.
The Rapid Fix package is based on Troax's modular wire mesh machine fencing, a widely used panel system which has been designed for fast assembly and dismantling - in around a third of the time it takes to install conventional fixed guarding systems. Combining the fencing with its new 'The End' clamp, a fixing system which further speeds up the fitting and modification of wire mesh panels on site, has enabled Troax to achieve a real breakthrough in the installation of safety systems in industrial premises.
Supplied in a convenient kit format, the fencing package is ideal for virtually any type of machine guarding application, such as isolating an automated robot, packaging machine or hydraulic press. It is also particularly suitable for protecting long runs of fencing, such as along a conveyor, where it can be dismantled quickly for repairs, reducing the need for interlocked doors and minimising machine downtime. Rapid Fix fencing can be assembled or dismantled quickly by a single operative using just an Allen key.
And with the addition of the new fixing clamp, the wire mesh panels can be easily modified when they need to be cut to size on site during installation (the clamp simply fits neatly over the end of the panel), for example at the end of a run of machine fencing, in irregularly shaped roof areas or to accommodate a/c ducts or cable conduits.
Using the two systems together allows complete flexibility during installation so that a bespoke safety solution can be created simply and economically, to meet the exact requirements of the site.
The machine guarding system, which is supplied directly from Troax's Swindon location, meets all EU Directives and Norms when correctly installed.
Comments David Teulon, managing director of Troax UK Limited: "Ever more stringent Health and Safety legislation is making the provision of comprehensive machine guarding systems a priority for employers. This is prompting a growing demand for versatile safety fencing products that are quick and cost-effective to install as well, of course, as providing a high level of safety. And it's these issues that we've addressed when developing the new machine guarding package - we aim to give employers the reassurance that, when they choose a Troax safety product, they're using the most practical and effective safety solution available."
