Six months after announcing an official distribution deal with C&C Group in Northern Ireland, Tradeteam has agreed terms to service its Scottish customers.
The five-year distribution contract will see the drinks logistics giant deliver C&C's iconic brands including Tennents lager to pubs, clubs and bars, and packaged kegs, bottles and cases to wholesalers via its central transport platform.
Tradeteam has handled C&C's distribution requirements since the company bought Wellpark Brewery and the Tennent's brands in August 2009.
The agreement will see Tradeteam deliver both secondary and primary distribution services, and will significantly extend the existing commercial relationship between the two companies.
In addition C&C will benefit from strategic stock replenishment and forecasting services and an overspill facility storage facility for the brewery at Tradeteam's neighbouring Cambuslang site.
Tradeteam Account Director Simon Gallimore said: "We are extremely pleased to be given the responsibility of delivering C&C's combined portfolio to an even larger customer base.
"We will certainly be drawing on our extensive experience of the Scottish marketplace and applying the same innovative delivery approach used to meet C&C's requirements in Northern Ireland."
Andrea Pozzi, C&C Group Head of Supply Chain Services, said: "Tradeteam has proven itself as a reliable logistics partner and is in a great position to help us continue to promote and increase the presence of our flagship brands in Scotland.
"We are excited to see the benefits of its flexible network and resources in the region and expect to see similar cost and operational efficiencies as achieved in Northern Ireland."
Gavin Murdoch MD at Tradeteam said: "The geographical extension of this strategic partnership is a massive boost to the business and its expanding operations in Scotland.
"The news is proof that we are consistently meeting customer expectations and have the ability to accommodate and provide transport solutions to meet constantly changing consumer demands.
"The deal will hugely benefit the growth plans of both companies in Scotland."
