Randstad is delighted to have reached an agreement with one of the UK's leading tour operators to supply them with the DPT system of diesel engine management.
Titan Travel will now fit the DPT system to their fleet of 160 VW 2.5Litre T5 Minibuses, which it uses to carry out its VIP Home Departure service.
DPT is targeted to make an 8% saving on Titan Travel's annual diesel fuel bill and in the course of this it should also offer an environmental plus with an 8%
reduction in the CO2 emissions of the vehicles. In fact, savings achieved so far have substantially exceeded these targets.
Richard Baxter, (pictured, Left) the Transport Operations Manager of the Reigate-based travel operator made this decision after extensive trials to evaluate the product and its potential impact upon Titan's fleet.
DPT installer Andrew Moorey (pictured, Right) from Tune-Up West Sussex worked hard with Baxter, Randstad, and Randstad's Dutch partners - Essing Dieseltuning- to find the solution which best suited Titan's objectives. Andrew is a mobile Tuning specialist and mechanic who is currently working with other fleet operators to develop similar business solutions.
Randstad's Martin Dowd is confident the agreement with Titan could be the forerunner of many. "The DPT system offers potential savings to Van, Minibus and Light Commercial Vehicle operators everywhere. The technology has proven itself time and again with individuals and obviously the next step was to look for a fleet operator to take on the system. We know Titan will feel the benefit almost immediately and we are already in discussion with a number of other Van and LCV fleet operators about the improvements they will see - in both cost and environmental terms - by using DPT on their vehicles."
