Woodway UK are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Smith as Technical Engineer. Chris replaces Ian Harrison who has been promoted to the position of Technical Services Manager.
Chris joins Woodway UK from the Box Factory where he spent over two years as a Designer/Estimator. Jason Inwood, Managing Director of Woodway UK, says, "We are finding our Technical Services Department of increasing value to our customers. As packaging becomes an increasingly vital element in the supply chain, our Technical Department can offer advice around branding, protection, environmental considerations and processes. Chris has joined the team to enable us to offer this service to more customers."
Woodway UK now offer an auditing service. As a leading supplier of packaging materials, this new service is aimed at helping customers maximise protection whilst minimising waste and finding efficiencies in their packaging processes.
Jason Inwood, explains, "We have been trialling this service over the past 18 months and customers have found it very useful in helping them shape their packaging strategy. By rolling out this new service we hope other customers will benefit from our Technical Team's experience and knowledge. They can evaluate all stages of the product delivery cycle and offer advice on how to get the 'best fit' solution. In addition, we offer upstream support ensuring that suppliers throughout the supply chain are working in the most efficient way for our customers.
