PHS Teacrate Acquires Intercrate

Crate rental company PHS Teacrate has recently acquired the family run business, Intercrate. The company has bought Intercrate's customer base and stock: all the partners have transferred to another business.

Following the acquisition it will be 'business as usual' for Intercrate customers as PHS Teacrate integrates the business into its own branch network and continues to provide the high level of service Intercrate customers have come to expect.

Teacrate continues to grow organically and this is the second acquisition within a year, consolidating its position as the UK's largest crate rental company. It is a strategy that will continue and according to managing director David Wicks, it is likely that more acquisitions will follow.

"The PHS Group has a strong acquisition track record of integrating suitable businesses; and coupled with successful organic growth, it's more than doubled in size during the last few years," said David. " During the last 15 years Teacrate has successfully acquired a number of crate rental companies and we are delighted to welcome customers of Intercrate. Typically our industry is served by a few large operators alongside some smaller regional operators who provide the same type of services to our customer base. That means we have significant opportunities to continue our acquisition strategy and we expect this to contribute significantly to our future growth."

Recently Teacrate launched its new Packaging Division positioning it as the only 'One Stop Shop' supplying the removals industry for its entire crate rental and packaging needs. This proves to be a very exciting time for Teacrate and the year ahead.
