Palletways stages major European congress

Palletways, the fastest growing and largest pallet freight network in Europe, has held its first Members European Congress since launching the Iberia network and acquiring the Italian network.

More than 250 member representatives from Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and the UK converged on Madrid last week to discuss the developments across Europe, including Palletways investment in linking up its four networks in Europe, which cover Italy, Northern Europe, Spain and the UK.

The event also saw the launch of Palletways Star Awards, which recognise the top performing member companies in each European network.

The winners were Mitchells of Mansfield (UK), Ponte Logistica S.r.l (Italy), Berser Shipping Holland B.V. (Northern Europe) and Transportes Nunez E Hijos S.L (Iberia).

Said James Wilson, Palletways Group Chief Executive: “Our European event was an overwhelming success and majored on the Group’s exciting development to provide express delivery services for small consignments of palletised freight between its networks across mainland Europe and the UK.

“Already our customers and members are taking advantage of the link up between our UK and Northern Europe operations and the development to join up all our networks will open up additional business opportunities by creating a unique pan-European pallet freight service.”
