SSI Schaefer has successfully supplied EvoBus (UK) Ltd with a new three-tier shelving installation within its Service Centre in Coventry.
EvoBus (UK) Ltd, which handles the sales, marketing, and full after sales support of Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses and coaches in the UK and Ireland, recently embarked on an extensive redevelopment project of existing premises.
Having previously completed a job for EvoBus in Southall, Middlesex and many more installations for Mercedes in the past, the decision was quickly made to utilise the services of SSI Schaefer once again when moving an existing parts store to a newly built on-site facility attached to the original building.
Leading the project was Allan Spencer, SSI Schaefer's Automotive Account Manager, he said: "Following extensive communication with EvoBus prior to installation and wanting to make best use of the available space within the new parts store operation, we installed SSI Schaefer's Regal 3000 shelving system forming a three-tier installation with open mesh flooring and lighting under each level."
SSI Schaefer's Regal 3000 modular shelving system, which can be extended as required at any time from single to multi-tier, is ideal for the storage of automotive parts. It provides a quick economic solution to any storage problem and its slot in frame system can hold between three and five tonnes with ease.
As part of the project requirements, SSI Schaefer also moved EvoBus's existing storage equipment into the new stores area problem-free, including the repositioning of existing pallet racking.
Installed on time and within budget, the news storage facility now houses bus parts of all sizes for both Mercedes and Setra.
