Manufacturers organisation EEF appoint Executives Online preferred supplier for executive recruitment

EEF, the manufacturers' organisation, has appointed Executives Online as its preferred supplier for senior level executive recruitment and interim management. This appointment coincides with the organisation's drive to secure leaders that are strategic thinkers, as well as hands-on practitioners and whose corporate and independent careers show a strong track record of delivering results.

EEF focuses on helping thousands of manufacturing companies to evolve, innovate and compete in a fast-changing world. It has 19 offices throughout the UK and has a growing membership of almost 6,000 companies of all sizes, which employ some 900,000 people. In order to serve its extensive and growing membership, EEF needs its permanent and interim positions to be filled quickly. To this end it is teaming up with Executives Online to ensure that candidates with the most relevant and insightful experience are rapidly secured and deployed to lead the organisation and support the industry.

Caroline Gumble, HR Director at EEF, said: "We have worked with Executives Online since 2006 and have always been impressed by the quality and speed of the service. They operate at the highest level and have found a number of interim and also permanent executives for us including our CEO, FD, IT Director and other managers.

In the case of Terry Scuoler, our new CEO, it was a very demanding brief as we were looking for a variety of proven skills and expertise in one individual. The candidate needed to have strong leadership and team building capabilities in order to deliver EEF's organisational and growth strategy, but also the gravitas, authority and diplomatic skills to engage and negotiate with both UK and EU governments on matters of policy and legislation.

We briefed Executives Online early October 2009 and within five weeks received a short list. During November and December Executives Online facilitated two rounds of panel interviews which resulted in Terry being selected and offered the role on the 8th December 2009. During my 20 year career in HR and Executive Recruitment I have never encountered a firm like Executives Online that consistently delivers this high level of rapid service."

Norrie Johnston, Executive Chairman of Executives Online, said: "Our vision is to transform executive recruitment. We look forward to continuing our relationship with EEF and adding value to the UK manufacturing industry. For each role we work closely with EEF to establish the recruitment brief and the profile of the ideal candidate in terms of abilities, skill sets and experience. Our Global Talent Bank is a vast repository of high quality senior personnel and our web based Candidate Acquisition Engine ensures that we are constantly attracting new and appropriate executive talent. This unique capability enables us to be highly responsive to EEFs requirements, working faster and more efficiently than traditional search allows. Furthermore, because we can put forward a superior match of high quality candidates very quickly the entire process is accelerated, delivering much improved cost benefits overall."
