Jane Gorick, managing director of retail pallet pool operator LPR UK (La Palette Rouge), has just been announced as one of the finalists in the 2011 MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards. The awards, now in their fourth year, celebrate the achievements of women making a difference and demonstrating success in a sector which has traditionally been male-dominated.
Gorick is one of just three finalists in the Director of the Year category, sponsored by Asda, and will be competing against Nicole Howarth of Global Freight Services and Nataša Šabanović of Whittle Eastern Europe Logistics at the awards ceremony and luncheon on Wednesday 4 May 2011.
On hearing of the shortlisting, Gorick commented: "The transport and logistics industries have always been very exciting and welcoming places in which to build a career. Whether male or female, it is performance and commitment which really makes the difference in demonstrating success. I am hopeful that my shortlisting for the Director of the Year category may inspire those looking for a fulfilling and challenging career."

The awards ceremony and luncheon will be held at The Savoy Hotel in London on Wednesday 4 May 2011.
