Logistics software provider TICONTRACT grows in 2011 over 25 percent

Logistics software provider TICONTRACT achieved a sales growth of over 25 percent in 2011. Being part of the TRANSPOREON Group, TICONTRACT made a decisive contribution to the group´s development. The 20 million Euro revenue projection for 2011, presented in the half-yearly figures, was confirmed in December.


The number of employees within the TRANSPOREON Group increased to more than 220 as of January 2012. This is about 30 percent more than previous year; with a continuing upward trend.


Via TICONTRACT, a web-based platform for the purchase of transport services, companies like Daimler, Coca-Cola and Wacker processed more than 6,000 tenders in the last year, with access to a data base of over 17,500 logistics service providers.


"One of the most important mile stones in 2011 was the foundation and the very successful start of our first US subsidiary in Philadelphia. In addition to the logistics tendering our customers also use TICONTRACT more and more for documentation and request of their freight rates", says Roland Hötzl, managing partner of the TICONTRACT GmbH. "Another further step was the launch of our platform in Chinese, which opens up one more, enormously large market for us."
