Logistics company Geodis Calberson truck 15 millionth through the Eurotunnel

and a Geodis Calberson truck was the one millionth truck through the Eurotunnel before!

They say that lightning never strikes twice but it is a remarkable coincidence that a Geodis Calberson truck has been lucky enough to be the 15 millionth vehicle through the Eurotunnel - as well as the one millionth some time ago!

But computers never lie - and the evidence is there with a Geodis Calberson truck pictured resplendent in its new livery enjoying a rare moment in transportation history!

The truck in the spotlight is one of the vehicles operating between the UK and France on Geodis Calberson's daily Lille service.

Geodis Calberson, with the UK headquarters in High Wycombe, operates an average of 125 line haul deliveries a week between the UK and France Lille.

The historic milestone was celebrated by Eurotunnel and SNCF, the parent company of Geodis. French television crews and the UK media were on hand to record the event which was celebrated at both the French / English ends of the Channel Tunnel.

The driver of the 15 millionth Geodis Calberson truck Ricky Szitkovics received a special gift to mark the historic milestone.

Ray Cook, Director of Traffic for Geodis Calberson UK commented: "We were naturally delighted and indeed surprised to learn that a Geodis Calberson truck was the 15 millionth truck to go through the Channel Tunnel.

"Obviously to be the company with vehicles that went through as both the one millionth and 15 millionth truck is a remarkable coincidence but we are a regular user of the Tunnel for our European deliveries and we are naturally very happy with the media exposure for the brand.

"The driver was obviously delighted to enjoy his little bit of fame and to receive a gift marking the occasion. It will be a day he will always remember!"
