Loading bay solutions for Architect designed warehouses

Loading bay equipment from Easilift Loading Systems has been specified for two state-of-the-art, architect-designed warehouses in Trafford Park Industrial Estate, Manchester.

Both buildings feature external structural steel frames that give a clear internal space with no columns or cladding. This optimises racking layouts and provides an unusual external appearance.

Designed by Manchester architects, DGP International, the larger building within the £2m development contains 39,000 sq ft of high bay warehousing and distribution facilities together with 6,000 sq ft of office accommodation.

Operated by a distribution company, the building's three loading bays are equipped with Easilift insulated sectional overhead doors measuring 3,000mm wide x 3,750mm high, together with inflatable dock shelters.

To bridge the difference in height and distance between the loading bay and the vehicle floor, the bays feature Easilift Poweramp 232 swing/hinged lip type fully hydraulic dock levellers measuring 2m wide x 2.5m long. Easilift also equipped the bays with traffic lights and a fully integrated control panel.

The second, smaller building has 29,000 sq ft of internal warehousing space. It has been fitted with three Easilift sectional overhead doors measuring 3,500mm wide x 5,000mm high, a sectional door measuring 4,000mm wide x 5,000mm high and 11 steel hinged personnel and fire exit doors.

Easilift Loading Systems is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of loading bay equipment and provides everything necessary for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of loading bays, including external, fire & personnel doors, dock levellers, strip curtains, dock shelters, seals & pods, vehicle restraints and lifting platforms, together with a complete range of accessories and safety aids, such as dock plates & bumpers, wheel guides, traffic lights and integrated control systems.
