Two Fortec Pallet licensees have been voted the tops by their colleagues in the Fortec Pallet Network annual awards. Newton Abbot-based WL Vallance Ltd received the prestigious Depot of the Year Award at a recent awards ceremony in Stratford upon Avon.
The company beat off strong competition from fellow Fortec licensees Alan Davie & Son and Devereux Developments Ltd, who were both voted runners up.
Nick Vallance, Managing Director, WL Vallance Ltd, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to receive this award - everyone in the business is delighted! We all work very hard as a team and it's great to be recognised in this way.
"The day after the ceremony, I got everyone together to tell them the good news - it was fantastic to see the pride in peoples' faces.
"Even two weeks after the event, from all levels, there is still a
tremendous sense of achievement throughout WL Vallance Ltd, especially as we won through the votes of other members of the Network."
Rod Abrahams, Managing Director of the Fortec Pallet Distribution Network, added: "WL Vallance Ltd has consistently delivered the goods not only as far as its customers are concerned, but also from the viewpoint of its colleagues in the Network. The company has been regular winners of our monthly Customer Service Award, so it comes as no real surprise that they have won the top Depot of the Year Award. They consistently deliver a high standard of customer service and are extremely professional in their dealings with their network colleagues".
The coveted prize of Fortec International Depot of the Year went to Murray Logistics of Motherwell, Lanarkshire. This is a major achievement for the Scottish company which has only been part of the Fortec Pallet Network for the last year.
Stewart Murray Hargrave, Managing Director, of Murray Logistics was
delighted with the award: "This is a massive achievement for Murray Logistics Ltd, especially after only one year of operation. Initially, this was something we were going to trial, but are extremely pleased that the International product has become such a successful part of our business.
"I would like to say a big thank you to Sandra Glancy, who is responsible for the International product. She has driven this aspect of the business forward with total commitment and professionalism."
Rod Abrahams commented: "Murray Logistics fully deserve its award having made a significant impact on the Fortec Network in just one year.
"They are a role model for the Network on how Fortec licensees can add value to their customers' businesses through the recently launched Fortec International product.
"Congratulations to the team at Murray Logistics. They are a credit to the Fortec Pallet Network," he added.
