Lexmark International Inc., a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of printing and imaging solutions, has awarded Kuehne + Nagel a 10-year-contract
covering the integrated management of its European logistics services.
The contract includes the management of all inbound flows from Lexmark
plants in the Philippines and Mexico as well as from their Asia based
suppliers. Also covered are services such as contract logistics and final
distribution within the EMEA region, reverse logistics management,
process engineering and selected procurement support.
Alliance Control Center manages entire supply chain
The core pillar of the newly signed agreement is Kuehne + Nagel's onestop-
shop concept featuring the Alliance Control Centre (ACC) based in
Geel (Belgium) and Luxembourg. The ACC provides a team of supply
chain specialists managing the Lexmark supply chain. As a partner,
Kuehne + Nagel ensures that common objectives of reduced total costs
and continuously improving high service levels for Lexmark and its end
customers are achieved. With its expertise and experience, the logistics
provider designs and implements tailor-made solutions for the customer
across logistics and transport segments, using the services of both
Kuehne + Nagel and a variety of other Third Party Logistics providers.
