Van Dalen, one of Europe's largest metals processors and recyclers, has appointed Prova PR to raise its profile in the metals and associated sectors, in the UK and further afield. The Dutch-owned organisation, headquartered in Sheffield in the UK, is one of the fastest-growing metals processers in Europe and is set to invest significantly in the UK marketplace over the next twelve months.
Formed in the Netherlands in 1947, Van Dalen will celebrate its 65th anniversary next year. Employing almost 100 people in the UK, its facilities, which cover both ferrous and non-ferrous operations, stretch across the whole of the country and include deep sea access at Immingham, as part of its total processing and logistics solution. A significant proportion of Van Dalen's feedstock goes to export.
Prova PR is one of the country's leading environmental and reprocessing PR consultancies and has over a decade's experience across the recycling and environmental legislation fields. Its objective will be to drive the profile of Van Dalen forward in the UK - and in time across Europe, by exploiting both its commercial success and the expertise of the company's senior management team.
Tom Bird, UK managing director at Van Dalen, comments: "Van Dalen is a fast-growing business and it's a privilege to be at the helm, as we seek to meet our ambitions over the next five years. People tend to forget that there is a lot of choice in the metals reprocessing marketplace in the UK - and it is very much my objective to present that choice and our high level capability to the sector. We've brought Prova on board to help us to make that happen and we're looking forward to a fruitful partnership."
Richard Postins at Prova PR, adds: "We're thrilled to be working alongside Van Dalen as it continues its impressive growth in the UK marketplace. Leading the Van Dalen team is Tom Bird, one of the most respected figures in the industry and a leading light of the European Ferrous Recovery and Recycling Federation (EFR). With a mixture of news and comment from the metals processing sector, we aim to put Van Dalen in its rightful place - at the heart of the metals sector in the UK, via an aggressive, hard-working media relations campaign."
