Kewill, a leading provider of innovative software for supply chain execution, has announced enhancements to its multi-country customs compliance software, Kewill CustomsXchange, bringing on board even more countries for customs and ICS compliance.
Kewill CustomsXchange, part of the Kewill MOVE™ platform for multimodal transportation, logistics management and trade compliance, provides a simple, cost effective way to process security and customs declarations for enterprises that import to or export from multiple countries.
It does this by enabling companies to enter their security or customs information in one format and through the same interface regardless of its final destination. The software then handles all the translations to local customs message formats and shares these automatically with the relevant local customs bodies.
The enhancements mean that CustomsXchange can now be used to file electronic customs declarations with customs authorities in Belgium and Spain. This brings the total number of countries the software can handle online customs filing for to eleven, including Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, UK and the Netherlands. Nineteen countries are now set up to handle compliance with ICS security requirements, including Malta which was added recently.
Evan Puzey, Chief Marketing Officer at Kewill, commented "The burden of compliance continues to increase for the global supply chain, and with significant customs and security domain expertise in all major trading regions, we believe Kewill is ideally placed to assist our customers with ensuring they comply, regardless of the destination of goods. This additional country connectivity brings us closer to our long-term strategy of being able to provide coverage for all of the key logistics hubs globally through Kewill CustomsXchange."
