Isuzu Trucks UK endorses Shell Lubricants across dealer range

Isuzu Trucks UK Dealer Network has announced that it has appointed Shell Lubricants as the preferred supplier for all engine and transmission oils and greases.

With a UK network in 65 locations nationwide, Isuzu Trucks has grown since its entry into the country in 1996, with its current position in the challenging British commercial vehicle sector based very much on ensuring the best foundation of customer care.

"We have an industry leading roadside assistance 'call to roll' time of just 56.3 minutes which says a lot about the attention to detail we offer Isuzu customers," explained Mark Todd, Isuzu Truck UK Parts Manager: "We demand this same level of commitment to customer service from our suppliers and Shell Lubricants have been selected because they combine best value for money with unrivalled levels of service and support."

Isuzu is recommending the flagship Shell Rimula R6 LM 10W-40 lubricant to the dealer network as a premium product range designed to help with both fuel efficiency and particulate filter performance. Premium products for the driveline are also being marketed that can enable trucks to work harder and longer for customers.

All Shell products meet full Isuzu approvals and the relationship is designed to grow with the Isuzu dealer network so that they can deliver on its promise to the customer, helping to increase the performance of vehicles and ensuring a strong, ongoing relationship with truck users and operators.

"Shell is one of only a few oil companies in the UK with its own in-house base oil manufacture and finished lubricant blending, which we also feel is important," added Mr Todd.

"Isuzu is now looking to build on this relationship with Shell to find ways to further enhance the network, drive customer profitability and increase loyalty to the Isuzu brand amongst end users," ended Mr Todd, who pointed to the added benefits of the drop in vehicle downtime, workshop savings and in the fuel economy benefits that customers will enjoy, further strengthening the relationship with the dealer network.

The entire Shell Rimula range of heavy-duty engine oils has just been revamped to simplify the choice for customers and to make it easier to see the clear benefits and capabilities of each product. The new Shell Rimula Energised Protection range is based around different performance tiers, from enhanced formulations at the Shell Rimula R3 tier to the market-leading technologies to support low-emission engines such as Shell Rimula RT4 L and Shell Rimula R6 LME.

The unique formula of the flagship product is the culmination of three years intensive research and development in close contact with leading truck and engine manufacturers. Rimula R6 LME offers truck and bus fleet operators an impressive combination of benefits that can both help improve the bottom line whilst reducing a businesses' carbon footprint. It helps achieve low emissions through both independently validated* energy saving and fuel economy, with improved maintenance through extended drainage periods and is approved for ACEA: E6, E7; Cummins: CES 20077; Iveco: E7; MAN: 3477; MB Approval: 228.51 (* Technical University of Gratz).
