The Bristol based business is embarking on a wave of acquisitions, facility upgrades and management restructuring to achieve its goal.
Italian multinational distribution companies Gruppo Bianchi and Mondial acquired Antifriction in 2011 and are supporting the growth.
The strategy is being headed by Bob Davis who is moving from managing director to the newly created role of vice president with the key task of acquiring new distribution sites.
Davis, who takes on his role in November comments: "We are particularly looking to develop Antifriction in the east of the country through acquisition and possibly new build facilities.
This will improve customer delivery times through greater national coverage and increased stock levels, which will in turn attract a larger client base."
Yorkshire, the East Midlands, London and the south coast are the initial primary targets for Davis.
Antifriction supplies bearings, belt drives, chains, lubricants, seals, gearboxes, motors and fluid power products to industry sectors including food and beverage, construction, metals, paper, recycling and energy.
A programme of facility upgrades will help drive the strategy. The Birmingham branch is currently undergoing a relocation that will see it more than treble in size.
March this year saw over £300,000 invested in the Antifriction Bristol HQ, which has allowed an additional £500,000 worth of stock to be stored.
The personnel restructure will also see Andy Fleming, reporting to Davis, move up to operations director with responsibility for overseeing the running of Antifriction's 12 branches and its purchasing department.
The regional management structure sees the appointment of three new commercial managers to support growth nationally.
Staff numbers are expected to grow significantly from the current 90 employees over the course of the three-year plan.
Operations director Andy Fleming, who has been with Antifriction since 1997 comments: "We have grown over 40% in the past four years in a challenging climate. Manufacturing and the wider economy is gradually gaining strength, so we are confident that we can hit our targets."
Davis, who joined Antifriction in 2001 comments: "The market for manufacturing and engineering stock is huge in the UK. We believe that the opportunities are very much out there. I believe our investments in facilities and people will deliver."
