Hanson UK heavy building materials launch new London brick matching guide

A new guide to the famous London brick has been launched by manufacturers Hanson UK today (November 26) to help builders, merchants and specifiers find the perfect match for extension, renovation or restoration projects.

The guide is available to builders' merchants across the country and contains details of the 23 bricks that make up the London range.

Paul Lacey, Hanson's national marketing manager, said: "The original London brick is over 130 years old and has been used in the construction of over five million homes across the UK.

"The new guide builds on the success of our previous London brick swatches and its accurate colour reproduction will make it easy for builders and specifiers to match bricks from the brochure with existing housing stock on site."

The range has a variety of colours and textures, from a classic red rustic brick through to yellows and buffs. All of the 23 bricks are available in the standard 65mm size with four also available in 73mm.

The guide also contains technical information and advice on mortar, bricklaying and site practice.

Hanson has produced an A1 poster and counter box display unit for the guides.
