Facom is the first manufacturer to bring a jack incorporating a totally unique safety locking feature to the UK market.
Europe's largest hand tool brand has launched the DL.200SPB - the only product on the market with a locking mechanism to improve safety for end-users.
The mechanical locking system supports the vehicle's weight as opposed to a hydraulic system.
The jack locks into place and maintains the lift height, giving the product its main advantage over a traditional jack which may experience leaks from the hydraulic system, causing it to fall.
Targeted at the automotive industry, the DL.200SPB has a two tonne lifting capacity but is also compact, light and easy to move around a workshop at just 25kg.
Alison Howard, UK Marketing Manager for Facom, said: "Safety is of paramount importance in the automotive industry so we are pleased to be able to bring this product to the UK market."
The jack, which conforms to EU legislation and requirements, has a base measuring 670 x 270mm. The minimum height is 85mm and maximum 410mm.
