The Freight Transport Association (FTA) is exhibiting at the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers on 1 and 2 April. This well-established event is geared specifically to the tanker industry which FTA has a long history of supporting.
FTA's independent Tanker Inspection and Certification Service helps to ensure the safety of tanker drivers and the general public. Its team of fully-trained FTA engineers uses the latest industry test equipment to certify operators' tanks to a national standard. The visiting on-site service significantly reduces downtime and associated costs, and guarantees the integrity of tanks and their associated equipment.
Paul Whitehead, FTA National Quality Manager, said:
"FTA has provided a service and training courses to its road tanker members for over 20 years and this is a key event in the calendar, allowing us to catch up with those in the oil distribution industry."
Key products which are sold through Shopfta will be exhibited on the stand. As a special show offer, a free ADR kit bag will be given to anyone buying a drain cover, shovel, bucket and goggles, which are required from 1 July under changes to ADR legislation.
FTA will also be handing out its new Graduated Fixed Penalties compliance guide and promoting a range of training courses, including ADR and dangerous goods consulting service.
